The first direction changer, which first changes the direction of movement of the optical fibre, is a rotating component having an outer surface which is formed around its axis of rotation and is in contact with optical fibre coming out of the coating unit. When viewed in the cross-section, which includes the axis of rotation, the outer surface has a flat shape with predetermined width, wherein the optical fibre is allowed to freely move in the direction of the width of the outer surface. According to the method of producing optical fibre, the contact angle, which is centralised relative the axis of rotation, between the first direction changer and the optical fibre ranges from 10 to 80. ^ EFFECT: prevention of one-directional twisting of optical fibre and high eccentricity. ^ 9 cl, 11 dwg |
