PURPOSE: A projector is provided to detect the position of the areas of a rotating color wheel and control the strength of laser emitted from a laser diode according to the position of areas of the detected color wheel. CONSTITUTION: A laser diode(120) irradiates laser. The laser diode drive unit(110) drives a laser diode. A color wheel(200) comprises a first area switching the wavelength of the laser coming out from the laser diode and a second part transmitting laser transmitting laser. A position detector(150) detects the location of a first area and a second area in the rotation of the color wheel. A controller(100) outputs the control signals for controlling the intensity of the laser coming out from the laser diode to the laser diode drive unit. |
