In braking, traction motors are changed into generator mode to generate electric power and charge capacitive accumulators that supply electrolyser. In shutting traction motors down, electrochemical generator is charged over into charging storage batteries. On shutting down electrolyser and electrochemical generator, hydrogen pipelines are blown by "cold" water steam. Shunting locomotive has conventional body, reversing traction motors, power plant consisting of first electric power source made up of traction storage battery and low-output second power source. Besides, capacitive accumulators, "cold" water steam source.
