FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of low olefins C2-C3Çè= not from oil stock, and to catalysts used there for. Proposed catalyst of low olefins from dimethyl ether based on pentacyl-type zeolite with molar ratio SiO2/Al2O3=37 containing not over 0.04 wt % of sodium oxide with aluminium oxide as binder, contains additionally magnesium at the following ratio of components, in wt %: magnesium - 0.1-2.0, aluminium oxide - 33.0-34.0, pentacyl-type zeolite with SiO2/Al2O3=37 and content not exceeding 0.04 wt %, sodium oxide making the rest. Invention covers also method of producing low olefins from dimethyl ether mixed with inert gas at higher temperature and atmospheric pressure in the presence of said catalyst. ^ EFFECT: production of low olefins from mix containing 10-20 wt % of dimethyl ether (DNE) and 80-90 wt % of inert gas (N2) at higher temperature and atmospheric with DME conversion of up to 97 wt % C2-C5-olefin selectivity approximating to 82 wt %, including C2-C3 selectivity approximating to 80 wt %. ^ 2 cl, 6 tbl, 23 ex |
