PURPOSE: A composition for producing a core of a baseball is provided to enable producers to accurately control the weight and the diameter of the baseball, and to improve the structural integrity of the baseball. CONSTITUTION: A baseball includes the following: a core(30) formed with coconut fibers, rubber, and a solvent; and a cover(40) surrounding the core. The core is produced by the following steps: crushing 40-70wt% of coconut fibers; gelling 20-55wt% of rubber; mixing the crushed coconut fibers and the gelled rubber with 1-3wt% of solvent; and molding, heating, and cooling the mixture. The core additionally contains 10-35wt% of sawdust.
