PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for measuring vehicle speed are provided to enable the accurate measurement of vehicle speed. CONSTITUTION: A tone wheel(70) provides pulse signal generated from a tone wheel sensor(20) to a controller(302). The controller measures the rotation speed of a wheel from the pulse signal. The controller creates the control signal for controlling a vehicle stability maintaining unit(304) through the wheel speed information and controls the vehicle stability maintaining unit with the control signals. |
