PURPOSE: An image improving apparatus of a stereoscopic image and a method thereof are provided to improve the saturation and intensity of an image. CONSTITUTION: A color converting unit(10) converts the RGB of an image into YUV. A depth map generating unit(20) generates a depth map from the converted image. A depth map converting unit(30) obtains a high frequency component vale. A contrast unit(40) controls brightness about neighboring pixels.
