SOLID SOLUTION CATHODE MATERIAL AND LITHIUM ION BATTERY USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: A solid solution positive electrode material and a lithium ion battery using thereof are provided to improve tap density and capacitance density per volume. CONSTITUTION: A solid solution positive electrode material is composed of a plurality of solid solutions which have different median diameters. The solid solution positive electrode material uses solid solutions of Li[Li_(1/3)M^1_(2/3)]O_2 and LiM^2O_2. Here, M^1 stands for more than 1type of metal element which has average valence of 4, and M^2 is more than 1 type of metal element which has average valence of 3. The solid solution positive electrode material is composed of solid solution A and B which have median diameter ratio of 10/90<=B/A<=80/20.
