PURPOSE: A tie rod and a segment for a continuous casting machine having the same are provided to prevent damage to a segment by reducing the sectional movement of inertia of a tie rod, thereby precisely controlling pressure on slab. CONSTITUTION: A tie rod is installed in each segment of a continuous casting machine, separates and supports upper and lower frames of the segment, and transmits pressure to slab passing through the segment. A division hole(110) is formed in the longitudinal direction in a bending area. The upper frame is easily tilted through the division hole in the drawing direction of the slab.
