PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of color stone using basalt powder is provided to obtain harmless color stone with a superior far infrared rays and anion generation quantity. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of color stone using basalt powder comprises the following steps: pulverizing selected basalt into 8-20mm and heat treating for 5-10 minutes at 2,000-2,500deg.C; pulverizing the heat-treated basalt into less than 500mesh powders and eliminating irons using a magnet; mixing powdery material including 60-70 weight% of basalt powder, 25-35 weight% of silica, and 0.1-5 weight% of natural inorganic pigment; fusing the mixed powdery material in an electric furnace at 1,200-1,600deg.C and molding ciliary body in a mold; and cooling the ciliary body at room temperature. The silica includes crystalline quartz which includes more than 95% of silicon dioxide(SiO2) component. The natural inorganic pigment is consisted of 1type or 2types which are selected from a group including rock crystal, amethyst, titanium dioxide mineral, aluminium hydroxide, gravitating barium sulfate, barite powder, bentonite, mica, gypsum, talc, natural or precipitated calcium carbonate, kaolin, and complex oxide system pigment.
