METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING A BODY AREA NETWORK USING A COORDINATOR DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method for managing a BAN(Body Area Network) using a coordinator device and a system thereof are provided to manage the BAN with IMDs(Implant Devices) and OBDs(On Body Devices). CONSTITUTION: An MICS(Medical Implant Communication Service) channel is acquired by a MICS transceiver in a coordinator device(310). An indication signal of a wakeup process is transmitted to IMD in a non MICS channel(315). A piconet connection command signal is transmitted to the IMD by the MICS transceiver(320). An approval signal is received by the MICS transceiver(325). The coordinator device and the IMD exchanges the data.
