PURPOSE: A focus adjusting apparatus is provided to store focus region information in case of changing a focus adjusting mode and to set a focus region based on the focus region information. CONSTITUTION: A focus adjusting apparatus includes focus lenses(102, 104), a photographing element(204), a focus evaluating value extracting part, a focus region setting part, an automatic focus controlling part, an information extracting part, displaying parts(202, 206), and a storing part. The photographing element photographs light through the focus lenses and generates an image signal. The focus evaluating value extracting part receives the image signal and extracts the focus evaluating value of a photographed image. The focus region setting part sets the first focus region of a first photographed image. The automatic focus controlling part is based on the image of the first focus region. The information extracting part is based on the second focus region of the second photographed image. |
