ROBOTIC SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLABLY DISPLACING MILK PRODUCING ANIMALS

A system for controllably displacing milk producing animals contained in stalls is described. Each of the animals are secured to an attachment element retained by a fixed connector in each of the stalls. The system comprises a robot device displaceable on fixed guide means to position the robot device at selected ones of the stalls and to a processing location. The robot device has an articulated robotic arm which is provided with an animal retrieving hand having engagement element to detach the attachment element from the fixed connector and engage the attachment element whereby to displace the milk producing animals from their respective stalls to the processing location where the animals are subjected to one or more job functions and to then return the animals into their stalls.
