PURPOSE: A power steering apparatus is provided to concurrently include an electric power steering unit using an electro-motive force and a fluid pressure power steering unit using a fluid pressure. CONSTITUTION: A power steering apparatus comprises an electric power steering unit(10) and a fluid pressure power steering unit(20). The electric power steering unit is installed in a steering gear to control the cornering force. The electric power steering unit controls the cornering force based on one or more of the following: steering torque, steering angle, vehicle speed, and vehicle lateral acceleration. The fluid pressure power steering unit is installed in the steering gear(100) to control the cornering force. The fluid pressure power steering unit comprises flow path valve for controls(25) installed at hydraulic lines(21,23) and hydraulic lines. The hydraulic lines are installed in the steering gear. The flow path controlling valve is installed in the hydraulic lines.
