The joint (1) has a ball socket part (2) including a ball socket-like recess (3). A ball head part (4) includes a ball head-like element (5) inserted into the recess. A clamping device (7) presses the ball head-like element into the recess. The head part is held with respect to the socket part in a defined, preadjusted relative position. A sensor device detects change of the relative position of the head part. A fitting element (6) is attached to a fitting recess (9) i.e. fitting borehole, during an adjusting process. An independent claim is also included for a holding and/or gripping device including a holding and/or gripping arm.
