The box (1) has a base (6) arranged opposite to a cover, and openings for receiving pipes e.g. flat tubes, provided in the cover. Front wall (4) includes connection plates (8-10) bent and/or arranged laterally and/or in a free end. The connection plates are bent in such a manner that the connection plates are arranged parallel to side walls (2, 3) and/or cover and/or base are planar-connected to the side walls, and/or the cover and/or the base are connected by a solder connection part. The front wall forms a single-piece separate mold part i.e. deep-drawn mold part. The mold part is selected from deep-drawn mold part and/or hydraulic transformed mold part and/or form-pressed mold part. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for receiving a fluid e.g. coolant, for a heat exchanger in a motor car.
