PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system which performs authentication processing in a plurality of stages for improving operability without losing its safety.

SOLUTION: This security system 1 is configured to hold a common signature key by a first authentication token and a second authentication token, and to hold an authentication key by an authentication device and the second authentication token. When PIN authentication is successful by the first authentication token, signature data are generated by the first authentication token by using the signature key, and the signature data are delivered to the second authentication token. The coincidence of the signature key is verified by using the signature data by the second authentication token, and when the coincidence is verified, the takeover of the PIN authentication successful state is performed. The authentication processing is also performed between an authentication device 4 and the second authentication token so that while the takeover of the PIN authentication state is safely performed, the number of times of the PIN input can be reduced.
