<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional device that can provide a plurality of functions for an external device, and to improve the convenience of the multifunctional device. <P>SOLUTION: A USB multifunctional device 10 includes a storage unit 16 and a radio communication unit 17, and can provide a storage function and a radio communication function for a personal computer PC. These functions can be switched by operating a switch 14. When the switch 14 is switched to a state that the radio communication function is turned on, a switching unit 15 feeds power to the storage unit 16 and the radio communication unit 17 to allow the storage unit 16 and the radio communication unit 17 to operate.
