<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus that is expanded in the range of measurable distance and shortens the time taken to measure any distance to be measured in the whole range. <P>SOLUTION: High frequency transmit signals are transmitted from a transmission antenna in a prescribed period of transmission and signals of reflected waves from a target are received with a reception antenna; out of a first code series of a first code length, a second code series of a second code length longer than the first code length and a third code series in which each code of the first code series is inverted, first transmit signals resulting from modulation of the first code series with a first transmit period, second transmit signals resulting from modulation of the second code series with a second transmit period, third transmit signals resulting from modulation of the third code series with a third transmit period and fourth transmit signals resulting from modulation of the second code series with a fourth transmit period are generated, the first and third transmit periods being shorter than the second and fourth transmit periods; and these generated transmit signals are converted into high frequency transmit signals and transmitted from the transmission antenna. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
