<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure speeds of both a hitting tool and an object to be hit more accurately. <P>SOLUTION: A Doppler sensor 11a receives a first Doppler signal which is reflection of a first transmission signal sent by the Doppler sensor 11a off a hitting tool. A Doppler sensor 11b receives a second Doppler signal which is reflection of a second transmission signal sent by the Doppler sensor 11b off an object to be hit. A microphone 14 detects a hitting timing which is a moment that the hitting tool hits the object to be hit. A calculation section 32 of a data processing device 2 calculates speed of the hitting tool based on the first Doppler signals received during a lapse of a predetermined period until the hitting timing, as well as speed of the object to be hit based on the second Doppler signals received during the lapse of the predetermined period after the hitting timing. The present invention can be applied, for example, to a measuring device to measure the speed of a golf club as the hitting tool and of a golf ball as the object to be hit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
