<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid epoxy resin composition excellent in viscosity stability, giving a homogeneous cured product even when it has an increased thickness, free of crack generation even under heat cycle conditions, and excellent in heat resistance and transparency. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid thermosetting epoxy resin composition comprises: a main agent composed of (A) an alicyclic epoxy compound having a cyclic aliphatic skeleton and two or more epoxy groups in the molecule, (B) a polyesterpolyol and/or polycarbonatepolyol having two or more terminal hydroxy groups, and (C) a phosphorous acid ester; (D) a curing agent; and (E) a curing accelerator.
