PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver capable of selecting and efficiently and surely operating soil improvement and steel pipe burial.

SOLUTION: The pile driver capable of selecting soil improvement work and steel pipe burial work includes: work selection means for selecting the work contents of either one of the soil improvement and the steel pipe burial at the start of work; torque setting means for setting the maximum torque of a rotary driving device corresponding to the work contents selected in the work selection means; and torque adjustment means for adjusting the torque of the rotary driving device. In the torque adjustment means, the maximum value of the torque adjustment means is set to the maximum torque calculated in the torque setting means.
