<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase adjustment device and a phase adjustment method for making an image display device display a clear image and an image display device equipped with the phase adjustment device. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a phase adjustment method for executing: sampling clock generation processing (S101) for generating a sampling clock; AD conversion processing (S106) for sampling an input analog video signal, and for converting the analog video signal into a digital video signal; phase shift processing (S201) for shifting the phase of the sampling clock; subdivision processing (S216) for subdividing a display image displayed based on the digital video signal output in the step S106 into a plurality of display areas; shift quantity determination processing (S301) for determining the value of the optimal phase shift quantity for each display area; and phase optimization processing (S305) for setting the value of the optimal phase shift quantity of the whole display image based on the value of the optimal phase shift quantity of each display area determined by the shift quantity determination processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
