<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object kind determination device which restrains an occurrence of a failure in detecting an object of a specific kind. <P>SOLUTION: An object kind determination device comprises: an image section extraction section 13 to extract an image section of an object from a photographed image by an infrared camera 2; a determination element extraction section to extract a plurality of determination elements decided by assuming an object of a specific kind; a determination element total score calculation section 15 to give the plurality of the determination elements scores in accordance with respective extraction results and to calculate a determination element total score which is a total of the scores given to respective determination elements; and an object kind determination section 16 to determine that a kind of the object in a real space corresponding to the image section is the specific kind when the determination element total score is equal to or larger than a reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
