<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a glass molding which suppresses the fusion of a glass material, inhibits that air holding arises, and can obtain a good glass molding. <P>SOLUTION: The method of forming a glass molding which fabricates a glass material 1 between an upper mold 30 and a lower mold 20, includes: a process which arranges the glass material 1 so that a gap may exist between the surface of the glass material 1 and a lower molding surface 22; a process which heats the glass material 1 in the status that the upper mold 30 does not touch the glass material 1; and a process which presses the glass material 1 putting it between the molds after heating, wherein when glass material 1 has been arranged, an upper mold molding surface 32 of the upper mold 30 is a convex in which a cross section has a predetermined curvature radius, and in the glass material 1, a region which counters the upper mold molding surface 32 is a flat surface or a concave which has a larger curvature radius than the curvature radius of the upper mold molding surface 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
