<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear structure which can sufficiently absorb collision energy even if a vehicle with a height different from that of one's own vehicle is collided with the one's own vehicle at the rear end. <P>SOLUTION: In the rear structure of a vehicle body 1, the upper wall 3a of a bumper beam extension 3 is set at a height H2 which is located at the middle of the height H between the center line O-O of a rear frame 2 and the upper wall 2a thereof and the height H4 between the center line O-O and the upper wall 4a of a bumper beam 4.
