<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which allows improved workability/carry-in handleability and operation efficiency, while ensuring the reduction of installation space. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system is configured such that a first leg 12 protrudes from the lower part of a fuel cell unit 2 to the lower part of a hot-water unit 3 or a second leg 13 protrudes from the lower part of the hot-water unit 3 to the lower part of the fuel cell unit 2. The first leg 12 and the second leg 13 are connected to each other with a leg connection fitting 14. With this configuration, the fuel cell unit 2 and the hot-water unit 3 are installed in close contact with each other, thus allowing the reduction of installation space.
