摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which makes the most of an anode active material layer not opposing a cathode active material layer to increase its electric capacitance. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes a power generating element composed of a cathode plate and an anode plate which are wound round the element. The cathode plate has a cathode lead part L1 consisting of a non-formation region of a cathode active material layer formed at one end in one direction thereof, and has a formation region A1 of a cathode active material layer formed in such a way that both edges E1 in one direction thereof overlap a formation region B of an anode active material layer, while the anode plate has an anode lead part L2 consisting of a non-formation region of an anode active material layer formed thereon. The cathode plate adjoins either one of the edges E1 in one direction of the formation region A1 of the cathode active material layer, and has an auxiliary cathode active material layer A2 different from the cathode active material layer formed in a region opposing either one of the edges E2 in one direction of the formation region B of the anode active material layer on the anode plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
