<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive transfer image receiving sheet which can suppress curling, has high smoothness and has high image quality and high robustness. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive transfer image receiving sheet has a receiving layer which contains polymer latex on a support and has a thermal insulation layer which contains hollow polymer particles between the receiving layer and the support, wherein the receiving layer is constituted of at least two layers and contains a water-soluble polymer having a repeated unit which is obtained from N-vinyl pyrrolidone as a binder resin on the receiving layer remotest from the support, the contained polymer latex is a vinyl chloride type polymer latex, and contains gelatin or polyvinyl alcohol as the binder resin in the receiving layer nearest to the support.
