<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method to apply objective automated quality control or quality assurance for translations of all types of documents and materials. <P>SOLUTION: This system (10) automates quality assessment of a translation. The system (10) may include a computer (12) with a processor (14) and interconnected memory devices (16) which are in an operable state. A source text in a first language may be stored in the memory devices (16). A target text including a translation of the source text to a second language may be stored in the memory devices (16), too. In addition to this, several executable files may be stored in the memory devices (16) and configured to separately recognize a test sample including one or more blocks when executed by the processor (14).
