<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treating appliance having a removable head which can be rotatably and electrically connected to a body of the surface treating electric appliance easily by a user and which is more compact than existing arrangements. <P>SOLUTION: The surface treating appliance includes the body, and the cleaner head rotatably connected to the body about an axis, wherein the head and the body are removably connected to one another by a connector adapted to carry a fluid flow. The connector includes a first part located on the body and a second part located on the head. The first and second parts are connectable and rotatable with respect to one another about the axis.
