The invention relates to a grate bar for a combustion furnace, comprising a replaceable head at the bar head end of the grate bar. The replaceable head is attached to the bar by at least two screws and the screws comprise screw heads that are engaged in first and second screw slots. The screw slots are machined in the form of a T and are provided in the replaceable head. In addition, a lower part of the bar comprises holes for the screws as well as flat regions around said holes, which are sufficiently large to allow free access to a separator tool.
