In an arrangement and a method for charging a vehicle battery (1), a primary induction device (2) which is fed by an energy source (3) outside the vehicle (4) generates an electromagnetic alternating field (5). This induces an alternating current (7) in a secondary induction device (6), said alternating current supplying energy to a charging device (8) for charging the vehicle battery. At least some thermal energy (10), which is produced by power loss in the secondary induction device (6) and/or in the charging device (8), is used, with the aid of heat transportation means (9), to heat the vehicle battery (1) for as long as the temperature of the vehicle battery is below a lower limit temperature. |
