<p>Provided are a lighting apparatus, a display apparatus, and a television receiving apparatus in which a loss of light from a light source can be reduced without an increase in the size of the side surface of a guide plate. A lighting apparatus (20) is provided with a light guide plate (22) arranged so as to face a display panel (11), and a light source (21) arranged so as to face a side surface (22A) of the light guide plate (22). The lighting apparatus (20), by means of the light guide plate (22), changes light from the light source (21) to surface area light and emits the surface area light to the display panel (11) side. The lighting apparatus (20) has light refracting members (30) each of which is formed at a position close to a light-emitting surface (21A) of the light source (21), has an inclining surface (31) inclined obliquely with respect to the light-emitting surface (21A), and refracts light from the light source (21) incident on the inclining surface (31) to a predetermined direction. The light refracting members (30) are arranged such that the light refracted at the inclining surfaces (31) heads toward the side surface of the light guide plate (22).</p> |
