<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which has such excellent mountability that it can be stably mounted on a substrate, or has excellent heat dissipation properties. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 1A comprises: a light-emitting element 2; a package 4 having a recess 5 for storing the light-emitting element 2; two electrodes 15 which are supported by the package 4, are exposed on the rear surface side of the package 4, and are provided at such positions that they are electrically conducted to the light-emitting element 2; and a sealing resin 21 filled in the recess 5.
