<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web coating device capable of applying a coating liquid on a web to form a uniform thin film thereon while preventing occurrence of uneven coating caused by deformation even when the web has the deformation such as a bend in the longitudinal direction thereof or habits such as a partial slackening. <P>SOLUTION: In the web coating device for applying on the surface of the traveling web continuously or intermittently a coating liquid discharged from the slit-shaped discharge opening of a coating liquid supply means which extends in the width direction of the web, a pressurizing chamber or a depressurizing chamber having one face formed by the traveling web is provided at a position either on the upstream side and/or on the downstream side of the slit-shaped discharge opening with respect to the direction of travel of the web, and also the web which passes through the pressurizing chamber or the depressurizing chamber is supported so that the web can be partially displaced in the direction in which the web approaches and is separated from the inside of the pressurizing chamber or the depressurizing chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
