<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document reading apparatus which can reliably remove foreign materials such as roller shavings, document paper dusts, dust and dirt adhered to a contact glass surface and prevent the removed dust and dirt from adhering again to a document reading position on the contact glass surface thereby obtaining an excellent read image. <P>SOLUTION: In the document reading apparatus, foreign materials on a contact glass 1 are removed by transfer of a scraper 30 on the contact glass 1 from one side to another side thereof and the foreign materials adhered to the scraper 30 is removed by a cleaning member 33 by contact with the scraper 30 when a front edge of the scraper 30 is transferred to the one side of the contact glass 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
