PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser device capable of suppressing the complexity of manufacturing processes and capable of preventing degradation of a semiconductor laser element.

SOLUTION: A semiconductor laser device 100 comprises a blue-violet semiconductor laser element 20 and a package 90 for sealing the blue-violet semiconductor laser element 20. The package 90 includes: a base portion 10 on which the blue-violet semiconductor laser element 20 is mounted; a sealing member 30 for sealing the blue-violet semiconductor laser element 20 with the base portion 10; and a light transmitting portion 35 for transmitting light from the blue-violet semiconductor laser element 20 to the outside. The base portion 10, the sealing member 30, and the light transmitting portion 35 are bonded to one another by a sealant 15 composed of ethylene-polyvinyl alcohol copolymer.
