摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor display device which has a light load in manufacturing a substrate of the display device and high throughput in manufacturing the device, while having an excellent view angle characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: Transparent conductive layers 25 and 26 composing a reflection electrode layer are formed with two kinds of different thicknesses, which is common to all pixels, so that regions 40 and 41 each having a different optical distance are set inside the pixel of each luminescent color. Furthermore, for a green pixel (or blue pixel), the areal ratio between the regions 40 and 41 having different optical distances is determined so that the view angle color shift relative to white display becomes minimum. And also, the blue pixel (or green pixel) is set so that the region of optical distance having the less view angle color shift for a blue monochrome (or green monochrome) has a larger area, and the red pixel is set so that the region of optical distance having the less view angle color shift for a red monochrome has a larger area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
