<p>A method for transmitting carrier combination information is provided in the present invention, which includes: the same carrier combination lists are configured in a user equipment (UE) and the network side separately; based on the configured carrier combination list, the UE sends an interactive message to the Radio Network Controller(RNC),wherein the carrier combination information supported by the UE itself is carried in the interactive message in the form of an added cell; and when receiving the interactive message, the RNC determines, according to the carrier combination information and the configured carrier combination list, the carrier combination which is supported by the UE. A multi-band multi-carrier system is also provided in the present invention. According to the present invention, in the supported multi-band combination, separately for each band, the capability of the maximal downlink carrier number supported by the UE can be known by the network in lower overhead of signaling bits, and then, accordingly, the network could allocate the resources to the UE reasonably.</p> |
