<p>This garnish mounting device (10) is provided with a base section (21) which is formed on the rear surface of a garnish (20) and a tether clip (40) which mounts the garnish to a body member (11) by means of the base section. A slit (26) is formed in the base section (21), and the tether section (48) of the clip (40) is inserted through the slit (26) of the base section (21). The tether section (48) and the slit (26) can move relative to each other in the longitudinal direction of the slit and can be in contact with each other in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the slit. The clip (40) has a predetermined engagement span for suppressing rotational play of the garnish about the longitudinal direction thereof, the predetermined engagement span being provided between the slit insertion section (48c) of the tether section (48) and the contact section of the clip (40), the contact section being in contact with the bottom wall (22) of the base section (21). The contact seat surface (41) of the clip (40), the contact seat surface (41) being in contact with the body member (11), has a predetermined width for suppressing rotational play.</p> |
