<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a primary heat exchanger (26) cooling charge air (24) to be supplied to a combustion engine (12). A primary coolant i.e. water glycol mixture, flowing through the primary heat exchanger absorbs heat from the charge air and delivers the heat to a secondary coolant in a secondary heat exchanger (30). The primary coolant is liquid with a phase change material (PCM) whose phase is changed at temperature of the charge air and above the temperature of secondary coolant, and depending on heat supply or phase change enthalpy. #CMT# : #/CMT# The PCM is paraffin or alkane with carbon atoms, and comprises capsules made of polymer.
