<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic camera device with a high degree of freedom which can create a stereoscopic image by controlling a convergence angle based on the distance to any subject present in a designated imaging angle without using a conventional range finder. <P>SOLUTION: In a stereoscopic camera device, subject distance calculating means 72 calculates a distance between a camera (imaging sections 2a and 2b) and a predetermined subject on a display screen which has been selected through a touch panel 11 from among a plurality of objects present in a designated imaging angle according to a lens position defined by auto-focusing on the predetermined subject, the lens position being defined by focus controlling by focus controlling means 71 and an AF operation section. A stereoscopic image is displayed on the display screen by controlling a convergence angle 2θ, at which two optical axes OR and OL of respective lenses of a right side imaging optical system RL and a left side imaging optical system LL cross with each other, based on the calculated distance to the subject with convergence angle controlling means 73 and a convergence angle controlling mechanism 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
