MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY SPECIFICALLY RECOGNIZING GLOBOTRIAOSYLSERAMIDE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for efficiently producing a competent antibody targeting Gb3/CD77.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the anti-Gb3/CD77 monoclonal antibody comprises the following 5 steps: (1) a step of immunizing a non-human mammal deleted of an α1,4-galactose transferase gene with Gb3/CD77; (2) a step of recovering antibody-producing cells from the immunized non-human mammal; (3) a step of immortalizing the antibody-producing cells; (4) a step of monoclonizing anti-Gb3/CD77 antibody-producing cells out of the immortalized antibody-producing cells; and (5) a step of recovering the antibody produced with a clone obtained through the monoclonization.
