<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection apparatus that can suppress wasteful discharge of a liquid and is excellent in ejection properties. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head that includes nozzles from which the liquid is ejected, and where a liquid storage chamber storing the liquid and connected to the nozzles is formed; an impact application mechanism that applies impact to a prescribed portion of the liquid ejection head so that foreign matters move to a side of the nozzles existing in the liquid of the liquid storage chamber; and a discharge mechanism that discharges the liquid of the liquid storage chamber from the nozzles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
