<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder that maintains portability by preventing insufficient film strength by keeping humidity around a recording medium constant. <P>SOLUTION: If the humidity of the inside of a drying part 118 is low, a moisture adjusting means 80 blows air containing much moisture, sucked from the back of a recording medium P through a suction hole, toward the surface of the recording medium P by a blower 86 through a suction passage 84. If the humidity is high, the means 80 switches a valve 88 to discharge the air containing much moisture, out of the drying part 118. Thus, humidity in the drying part 118 is maintained within a required range. The difference between the moisture content of a recording medium P and the original moisture content of the recording medium P can be maintained at a desired value (2g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or more but 5g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or less). Accordingly, this can prevent such trouble as if the moisture content of a recording medium P, particularly near its surface, is insufficient or excessive in a fixing process, the portability or quality of the recording medium P degrades, or UV curing of ink becomes insufficient, resulting in decreased film strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
