摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device to change the operational characteristics of a nozzle, by selectively adjusting an effective channel area of the exhaust nozzle of an aircraft engine. <P>SOLUTION: The control device 11 for changing the operational characteristics of the exhaust nozzle of the aircraft engine includes: a chamber 15, plural outlet passages 17, and an adjustable inlet 13 extending from a pressurized air source 19 to a hollow interior of the chamber 15 to send the jet of the pressurized air to the chamber 15. The inlet 13 directs the pressurized air to one or more outlet passages 17 selected from the plural outlet passages 17, and sends the air to one or more corresponding spots inside the exhaust nozzle through one or more outlet passages.
