The assembly has a guidance motor e.g. gearless direct drive, arranged in a vehicle frame-side mounted steering housing (2). Steering movements of wheel carriers (6) are provided by a rotatably mounted vehicle wheel. The wheel carriers are movably supported at a vehicle frame (1). The direct drive comprises an electric motor (3), where a rotor (5) of the electric motor is connected with the wheel carriers, and a stator (4) of the motor is connected with the steering housing. A steering angle sensor (8) is arranged at the steering housing in a region of the rotor.
