The device has charging plugs or charging socket attached at an end of an electrical cable (2), where the end of the electrical cable is movable into and pulled out from a meander-type inner space (1) of the charging device via a transportation unit. The transportation unit comprises a set of transport rollers (4), which rest on the electrical cable in a frictional and/or form-fit manner for transportation of the cable. The electrical cable exhibits a circular or rectangular cross-section, where the rollers are arranged in a plane transverse to the longitudinal extension of the cable.
