<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyrstalline aluminophosphate which is useful as a raw material of an exhaust gas treatment catalyst, and a method for the synthesis of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The crystalline aluminophosphate is free from cracks when it is made into a molding, and useful as a raw material of the exhaust gas treatment catalyst. The crystalline aluminophosphate has a content of silica in the range of 1-15 wt.% as SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, a content of alumina in the range of 35-45 wt.% as Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, and a content of phosphorous oxide in the range of 45-55 wt.% as P<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">5</SB>, and contains an oxide of an element (M) other than Si, Al and P. The content of the oxide is in the range of 0.01-5 wt.% as an oxide represented by MO<SB POS="POST">V/2</SB>(wherein M is an element other than Si, Al and P, V is the valency of the element M, and V/2 is adjusted so as to be an integer depending on the valency of M). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
